Vibebo is designed to be a fun and safe place where people can express themselves honestly, connect with others and receive anonymous messages without giving up control over their experience.
Alongside our moderation systems and Community Team, Vibebo includes a range of Safety Controls that help you decide what reaches your inbox, who can interact with you and when you want to receive messages.
Hidden Words
The Hidden Words control lets you create your own list of words, phrases and emojis that you do not want to see.
Messages containing anything on your Hidden Words list can be automatically filtered before they reach your main inbox.
This gives you more control over the type of anonymous messages you receive and allows you to personalise your filters around the topics, language or expressions you would rather avoid.
You can update your Hidden Words list whenever you need to.
Blocked Users
If someone sends you unwanted, abusive or inappropriate messages, you can block them.
The Blocked Users section lets you see the people you have blocked and manage that list from one place.
If you later change your mind, you can also unblock someone.
Blocking gives you another way to take control of unwanted interactions and protect your Vibebo experience.
Pause My Link
Sometimes you simply need a break.
Pause My Link temporarily stops new anonymous messages from being submitted through your Vibebo link.
You can use it when your inbox becomes busy, when you are no longer actively sharing your link or whenever you want some time away from incoming messages.
Depending on the options currently available in Vibebo, you may be able to pause your link for a set period or leave it paused until you are ready to switch it back on.
While your link is paused, you remain in control of when you want to start receiving new messages again.
Enhanced Moderation
Vibebo already uses moderation systems to help identify potentially inappropriate or harmful content.
When Enhanced Moderation is enabled, stricter filtering can be applied to incoming messages. This means more messages that meet our moderation criteria may be filtered before they appear in your inbox.
Enhanced Moderation is useful if you prefer a more heavily filtered experience or want an additional layer of protection around the anonymous messages you receive.
Your Inbox, Your Controls
These tools are designed to work together.
You can use Hidden Words to control particular language, Blocked Users to prevent unwanted interactions, Pause My Link when you want to stop receiving new messages and Enhanced Moderation when you want stronger automatic filtering.
Together, these Safety Controls give you more choice over:
- What appears in your inbox
- Who can continue interacting with you
- When you receive anonymous messages
- How strongly incoming content is filtered
Safety tools cannot prevent every unwanted interaction, so if you receive something that breaches our Community Guidelines, you should also use Vibebo’s reporting tools.
Our goal is simple: you should always have meaningful control over your own Vibebo experience.
