Vibebo is designed to help people speak honestly without asking recipients to give up control of their own experience.
Safety tools are part of that balance.
You can decide what kind of messages you want to receive, set boundaries around particular language, stop further interaction from an anonymous sender, report content that crosses the line and pause your link when you want a break.
These controls are designed to work together. You do not need to use every tool, and you do not need to wait for a situation to become serious before using one.
Message Filtering
Message Filtering gives you control over Vibebo’s AI assisted moderation for incoming anonymous messages.
Open Settings, then Safety, then Message Filtering to review the options available to your account.
Vibebo AI Sentinel can help classify messages that may fall into categories such as
- Spam or promotional content
- Harmful or abusive content
- Sexually suggestive content
Where a category can be configured, you can generally turn that option on or off.
Use Message Filtering when you want broader content classification to help shape what reaches your normal inbox experience.
AI moderation can help, but it does not understand every situation perfectly. Your own judgement and the other controls on this page still matter.

Vibebo also provides a public AI Sentinel experience where you can test how the moderation feature classifies example text.

Your own account settings remain in Settings, then Safety, then Message Filtering.
Hidden Words
Some boundaries are personal.
A word, phrase, nickname, topic or emoji may be harmless in one conversation and completely unwelcome in another.
Hidden Words let you create your own list of language that you do not want appearing in messages sent to your profile.
Open Settings, then Safety, then Hidden Words to add or remove entries.
A focused list is usually more useful than trying to block every possible term. Start with the language that is actually relevant to your experience and adjust it when your needs change.
A Hidden Word is your boundary. It does not automatically mean that the same term is prohibited across Vibebo.
Blocking an anonymous sender
You do not have to keep receiving messages from somebody who has crossed a boundary.
Open the relevant message actions and use the option to block its anonymous sender.
Blocking does not reveal who sent the message.
Vibebo can recognise the sender internally for the purpose of applying the block while keeping that person anonymous to you.
Blocking can be useful when
- The same sender repeatedly sends unwanted messages
- A message is abusive or personally targeted
- You do not want further interaction from that sender
- You want the contact to stop without trying to identify the person
You can review supported blocks in your safety settings and remove a block later if you choose.
Reporting
Reporting is there for content that you believe should be reviewed against Vibebo’s rules.
Depending on the feature, you may be able to report a message, public reply, profile or other supported content.
Choose the reporting reason that best describes the concern and add useful context when the reporting flow asks for it.
Blocking and reporting are different choices.
Block when you want further interaction to stop.
Report when you want Vibebo to review the content.
Use both when both outcomes matter.
Reporting an anonymous message does not reveal the sender’s identity to you.
Pause your link
You are allowed to stop the conversation.
Pause is useful when you want to stop receiving new anonymous submissions for a while.
You might pause your link after an event, when your inbox becomes too busy, when you are taking a break or when you want time to review existing messages before receiving more.
Pausing does not delete your existing inbox or your account.
Turn the link back on when you are ready to receive new submissions again.
Search visibility
Safety can also mean deciding how easily people can discover a destination.
Search visibility controls whether your Vibebo destination should be available for search indexing.
Use it when you want a link to continue working for people who already have it without encouraging discovery through search.
Search visibility is not the same as privacy.
A link kept out of search can still be shared by somebody who has it.
For a Channel that needs restricted access, use the Channel’s private access controls.
Channel access controls
A Channel is a shared inbox, so access should be intentional.
Depending on the Channel setup, owners can manage
- Public or private access
- Search visibility
- Sender invitations
- Member invitations
- Member roles
- Resending or revoking invitations
- Removing members
- Deleting the Channel
A private sender invitation gives somebody a route to submit feedback.
A member invitation gives somebody access to work with the Channel.
Those are different kinds of access.
Review Channel membership when responsibilities change and before sharing a Channel with a wider audience.
Public content controls
Anonymous messages arrive privately.
The recipient decides whether a selected message stays private or becomes part of a public response.
Before publishing to Pulse or another public Vibebo surface
- Read the original message again
- Remove personal information that should stay private
- Check your own response for details you do not want public
- Remember that public content can be copied or reshared
Public replies and other supported interactions can also be reported when they cross a line.
How the tools work together
Different controls solve different problems.
Unwanted promotional messages
Turn on the relevant Message Filtering option. If the same phrase keeps appearing, consider adding it to Hidden Words.
Repeated messages from one anonymous sender
Block that sender. If the content also appears to breach the Community Guidelines, report the message as well.
An event or feedback window has finished
Pause the link rather than leaving an old invitation open.
A private project needs feedback from selected people
Use a private Channel and invite senders through the appropriate sender access flow instead of posting the Channel publicly.
What these tools do not do
Safety tools are not identity reveal tools.
Using Message Filtering, Hidden Words, blocking or reporting does not show you who an anonymous sender is.
Vibebo may use limited internal signals to apply safety and abuse prevention controls without exposing those signals to recipients or the public.
No filter catches every unwanted message.
Your own judgement still matters when deciding whether to block, report, pause a link, change your settings or publish something publicly.
A good starting point
If you are sharing a personal link publicly, consider doing a few simple things first.
- Review Message Filtering
- Add only the Hidden Words you genuinely need
- Use a clear prompt
- Know where the block and report controls are
- Pause the link when the conversation is over
- Review received content before publishing it
The goal is not to make anonymous communication feel restricted.
It is to give you room to invite honest messages without giving up control of the space around them.
