At Vibebo, safety is a priority. We created Vibebo to give people a space for meaningful, authentic connections while building a community rooted in kindness, respect and understanding.

We take our responsibility to protect the Vibebo community seriously and continue to improve our safety tools as online behaviours and risks evolve.

Vibebo combines safety features, moderation technology, community guidelines and user controls to help people manage their experience. You can:

  • Pause your Vibebo link at any time
  • Hide specific words from messages
  • Block users
  • Report content that makes you uncomfortable

Our Community Team also reviews user reports and support requests and provides help when concerns arise. If something does not feel right, we encourage you to contact Vibebo Support.

Vibebo also uses Hive Moderation’s automated moderation technology as an additional layer of protection to identify potentially inappropriate or harmful content.

Moderation

We take bullying, hate, threats, harassment and violence seriously.

Vibebo uses a combination of human review and automated moderation technology to help identify content that may breach our Community Guidelines.

Hive Moderation provides an automated first layer of moderation by analysing messages for potentially inappropriate or harmful content. Its technology is designed to recognise language in context, including slang, emerging terminology and the ways emojis may be used.

Automated systems are not perfect, which is why technology is only one part of our approach. Our Community Team also reviews reports and applies human judgement when assessing content and deciding whether action is appropriate.

Together, these systems help us identify potentially harmful content, respond to reports and enforce our Community Guidelines.

Content moderation requires a careful balance between protecting people from abuse and allowing users to express themselves freely. Our aim is to maintain a space where different voices and perspectives can exist without harassment, hate or harmful behaviour.

Reporting

If you receive a message on Vibebo that you believe is inappropriate, offensive or harmful, you can report it directly from the app.

Locate the message, tap the Report button (⚠), choose the reason that best describes your concern and tap Tell Vibebo Team. The message will then be flagged for review.

Our moderation team assesses reported content against Vibebo’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Depending on the circumstances, this may include considering the content itself, its context and its potential impact on the recipient.

If we determine that content or behaviour breaches our rules, appropriate action may be taken. This can include restricting or blocking the sender or, in serious or repeated cases, removing their access to Vibebo.

Reporting helps us identify harmful behaviour and maintain a safer community. If a message makes you feel uncomfortable or you believe it breaches our Community Guidelines, please report it.
