These terms explain Vibebo Gift Credit and Vibebo Store Credit. They apply alongside the Vibebo Gifts Terms of Sale and Refunds and Returns Policy.
What Gift Credit is
Vibebo Gift Credit is restricted retail credit for eligible goods sold through Vibebo Gifts. It is designed to let people contribute towards a specific product on a Vibebo account holder wishlist.
Gift Credit is not a bank balance, cash account, general purpose wallet, peer to peer payment service or transferable payment balance.
How contributions work
A contribution is recorded against a defined wishlist item. For example, if an item costs £100 and two people contribute £20 and £30, Vibebo can show that £50 of the £100 gift has been funded.
The contribution remains committed to that gift until the target is reached, the value is lawfully refunded or the value is reallocated under these terms.
The recipient sees gifting progress rather than a withdrawable cash balance.
When the target is reached
Once the eligible gift is fully funded and any required fulfilment checks are complete, Stackweaver can create or progress the retail order for the recipient.
Product price and stock may be checked before fulfilment. If the item can no longer be supplied, the reallocation rules below apply.
If the target is not reached
Failure to reach the full target is not by itself a refund event. The Gift Credit continues to have value and remains allocated to the intended gift unless another refund or reallocation event applies.
This rule does not remove any statutory cancellation or refund right that applies to the original purchaser.
If the item is removed or unavailable
If the recipient removes the wishlist item, the product goes out of stock, the product is discontinued or the original item can no longer be supplied, the accumulated value may be reassigned as Vibebo Store Credit for that recipient.
Store Credit can be used towards another eligible product sold through Vibebo Gifts. It remains restricted to the Vibebo retail environment.
If Stackweaver becomes unable to honour the value within Vibebo Gifts at all, we will provide the refund or lawful reallocation required in the circumstances.
No cash withdrawal
Gift Credit and Store Credit cannot be withdrawn as cash, paid into a bank account, transferred to an unrelated merchant or used as a general payment method.
They cannot be sold or transferred outside the Vibebo Gifts system.
Purchaser rights
The person who purchases Gift Credit is the customer for that purchase. Any applicable statutory cancellation or refund right belongs to the purchaser and is not removed by describing the value as Gift Credit.
Where a monetary refund is due, it will normally be returned to the original purchaser using the original payment method rather than paid to the recipient as cash.
Price changes
A wishlist product price may change before the gift is fully funded. Vibebo will show the current target where the system supports progress funding.
If a material price or availability change means the original gift can no longer reasonably proceed, Vibebo may pause the target and apply the Store Credit or refund process that is appropriate in the circumstances.
Using Store Credit
Store Credit can be applied only to eligible Vibebo Gifts products. If the new product costs more than the available credit, the remaining amount must be funded through an available payment method or further eligible gifting.
If the new product costs less than the available Store Credit, any remaining value stays as restricted Store Credit unless another lawful outcome applies.
Fraud, chargebacks and reversals
Gift Credit and Store Credit depend on valid underlying payments. Where a payment is reversed, charged back, refunded or found to be fraudulent, Vibebo may adjust the related credit balance or gifting progress to reflect the valid value actually received.
We will not use this power to remove value that the recipient is lawfully entitled to retain.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the gifting model, payment arrangements, accounting treatment or legal requirements change. We will not use a later change to remove a statutory right or unfairly take away value already purchased.
